The following section describes how TennisStat allows to you simply tap the screen to start recording the details of a match.  TennisStatPC has two additional features that are not available in TennisStat.  You can open game records created on your Pocket-PC (after synchronizing) and you can print your game records.

Starting a Match

Once the service order has been determined, tap the radio button next to the player's name that will begin serving.

If the first serve is In, tap the 1st In button.

Figure 2

If Craig wins the point with a service Ace, tap the Won button for Craig as shown in Figure 2, tap the Ace radio button shown in Figure 3, and then tap OK.  It is that easy!  If you're not sure about the additional details captured on the screen below, you don't have to enter them.  If you don't want this screen to display, check the Don't display shot types check-box.

Tap the Record tab to display the details of any point.  If you aren't sure if you hit the correct button, inspect the information recorded on this screen.  If you made a mistake, tap the Edit menu and then Undo to erase the last point.  The details of each point shown in Figure 4 are computed from the few simple taps on the screens shown in Figures 2 and 3.  Details of points in both singles and doubles matches can be viewed.  The description of a given point will be displayed by tapping the row corresponding to the point; point 69 is shown in this figure.

Statistics can be viewed at any time during the match or at a later date.  We don't clutter the screen with meaningless statistics or with statistical items with no data.  The most common information will be displayed for data collected. For example, if neither of the players ever Aced a serve, the service Aces item shown below would be omitted.  If you want more statistics, check the More statistics check-box and you get more!  There are 142 possible statistics and graphs for each one.

Statistics for singles or doubles matches are displayed in columns as shown below.  Each players' statistics are tracked individually.

Figure 5

Graphs for any statistic displayed are available by selecting the statistic on the screen and then tapping the Graph button.

Figure 6

On TennisStatPC, graphs can be resized.  This is useful when the graph being displayed includes all points of the match.  After resizing the window, right-click the graph and then select Fit graph to window on the menu that pops up.

If you encounter a rain delay, simply save your game using the Save option on the File menu.  When the game resumes or you just want to load the game and review the play record details or statistics, select the Load option on the File menu.  If the match wasn't finished, just start recording the details of the match.  The play record will show the elapsed time of the match so you can identify the point at which play was delayed or resumed.

Click on the Buy Now menu option in the left pane to get a copy of TennisStat or TennisStatPC.
